Jolly Learning, publishers of the leading phonics programme Jolly Phonics, has signed a 10-year licensing agreement with China’s biggest foreign language publisher, FLTRP (Foreign Language Teaching & Research Press).
Under the terms of the agreement, FLTRP will have the exclusive rights to publish key titles from the Jolly Phonics range in Chinese for the market in China. These include a range of digital and printed resources, which will enable teachers to deliver the systematic synthetics phonics programme:
• Jolly Phonics Pupil and Teachers Books
• Jolly Phonics for the Whiteboard
• Finger Phonics books
• Posters, flashcards, workbooks and activity books
As part of the agreement, Jolly Learning will also be visiting China twice a year to support schools on how Jolly Phonics can be implemented to get the best results possible.
Chris Jolly, m.d. of Jolly Learning, said: “We are thrilled at this recognition that Jolly Phonics is the programme of choice to deliver transformational learning to children in China. The deal represents a huge opportunity to take English language teaching through the renowned Jolly Phonics programme to millions of children.”
Jolly Learning is an independent British publisher and has been at the forefront of the synthetic phonics method of teaching for over 25 years. During that time we have been part of a remarkable transition that has made this kind of teaching mainstream around the world with over 100 countries using the programme and some adopting Jolly Phonics as government policy. Independent research from around the world demonstrates the outstanding results achieved using Jolly Phonics.
