Uzoma studied B. A. English at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and then went on to obtain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education International (PGCEi) from the University of Nottingham. She is currently studying for her M. A, Education (Leadership/Management) at the University of South Wales.
She has over 10 years of teaching experience and has been teaching with Jolly Phonics since 2008. She has hosted training in Jolly Phonics in about 5 private schools in Lagos and co-trained in government schools of both Akwa Ibom and Cross River States of Nigeria. She has gladly mentored colleagues, passionately consulted for school owners, and conscientiously tutored individual students who needed specific assistance in Phonics. She has seen amazing results and now wishes to help others do the same.
