Aarti Shah, is the Founder and Director of ‘Academy for Crafting Education’ (ACE: founded 2013). She has 21+ years of experience in the education field teaching at various school as well as volunteering in NGOs. With a Master’s in Education (IEA-Certification), Aarti is also certified in ‘Early Educator’s Professional Development Programme’ from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard University, USA. She has also completed a writing and rhetoric course (Creative Writing module) from Stanford University USA.
Aarti stumbled upon the synthetic phonic approach in 2008 while researching about literacy skills. She tested the Jolly phonics method for a small Indian community while staying in United States between 2007 -2016. Since returning to India, Aarti’s teacher trainings were featured in Hindustan Times newspaper and the Young Pulse magazine. She has trained teachers in prestigious schools of Birla Edutech, Sanskriti school Pune and JBCN International to name a few.
Aarti added Jolly Music to her teaching portfolio in 2015 and was the first official trainer to introduce Jolly Music programme in India. Aarti also runs her own ACE programmes. She launched Ace The Stage in 2021, a Speech and Drama programme using Jolly Plays as a script resource at her centre.
