Annette Blackett is an enthusiastic educator with over 20 years of teaching and training experience in Australia, England, Mozambique, and Papua New Guinea. Currently pursuing a Master of Education (Leadership), she also holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and qualifications in Early Childhood Education, TESOL/ESL, and Indigenous Affairs.
As an Official Jolly Phonics Trainer, Annette has led international teacher training workshops in Papua New Guinea since 2017, focusing on Early Childhood pedagogy through the Jolly Learning programme. She has had the privilege of working with culturally diverse groups and witnessing the significant impact of Jolly Learning on English language acquisition for children and adults alike.
Annette’s approach begins with the question: “W.H.Y. do we teach?” She believes that understanding the ‘Why’ is crucial for educators as they delve into the ‘What-How-You’ of education, driving positive, global change, ‘One Person, One Day’ at a time.
Passionate about empowering others, Annette strives to support English language development, across the South Pacific Islands and Australia, guided by her faith and Philippians 4:13 ESV: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
