Harsha Bhanushali worked as a process trainer in India for an international organization when she came across Phonics. At that time she was on a sabbatical which she had taken to coach her son on reading and writing. It was around that time that she came across Jolly Phonics. When she applied the Jolly Phonics methodology, it made a huge and positive impact on her son’s progress. She thus took a deep dive and began to learn more about this unique methodology. Since then, she has fostered other children, including those with learning impairments. Through the Jolly Phonics approach, she has been able to successfully help both, native as well as non-native children to read and write independently.
Harsha currently conducts Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar classes in Navi Mumbai at multiple centres. She also manages Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar as an after school activity in an International school in Navi Mumbai. As well as this, she organizes a training workshop for teachers.
She believes that teaching goes beyond imparting knowledge and it is this belief that fosters bright students for a good future. She plans to draw upon her instincts as a mother and put that compassion into her teaching.
“I thoroughly enjoy teaching Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar and aim to spread this program as much as possible. If you want to help children read and write independently I recommend Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar.”
