Vicky started teaching at an international school in the Maldives ten years ago. She has taught phonics to a wide spectrum of learners from very young to adults and where their first language includes Hindi, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Dhivehi and of course English. She feels that teaching phonics is a privilege for her. She has recently returned to England following a spell as a Pre-K teacher working at an international school in Murcia, Spain.
Vicky first learnt about Jolly Phonics when she was given the opportunity to attend a two-day workshop. Within a couple of hours of the workshop she realised how powerful Jolly Phonics is and after her first day she was teaching it to her students and saw a real difference to their English speaking, writing, confidence, and self-esteem.
